Marcus Smart: Nuggets Fan Said ‘Jump on Your Knees’

Celtics protect Marcus Smart blamed a Nuggets fan for making a racially-charged comment after he pursued a free ball into the stands during Friday night’s down at the Pepsi Center.

Savvy was disappointed with field security’s reaction after he revealed the verbal insult.

Denver hung on for a 99- 92 win against Boston, and the NBA said it is exploring the episode.

Per The Denver Post:

“My foot stalled out in a seat and a fan let me know, ‘That is correct remain on the ground, jump on your knees,'” Smart said after the game. When reached about the episode, the Nuggets said security investigated it and couldn’t figure out what happened.”I told (security) what it’s identity was,” Smart said. “They just took a gander at him and didn’t utter a word to him, didn’t get him out of the game. Presumably on the off chance that I was a whiz, they likely would have accomplished something for it, however what will be will be. … We’re going to wind up securing ourselves in the long run and it won’t be lovely for those fans and we don’t need that.”We don’t need that as players, however sooner or later you must stand up and you must ensure yourself as a man.”
